Going to Poland and Germany

I'm not going to blog for a week. I'm going to Poland and Germany a week with my school.
We are going to visit the nazi concentration camps outside Krakow in Poland, and two other in Germany.
It will be quite educational and I think it will set some impressions for the rest of my life.

What do you think of what the Nazis did?

  1. Lucky Bastard. Wish i could visit Poland and Germany and go to Auschwitz.

Being a reenactor myself, dont be drawn into being an ignorant bastard thinking ALL Germans and all soldiers of the German army were evil Nazis who thought that all Jews must die. Although it was wrong for the Nazi party to order the death 6 million jews, it was the special units that did these acts like the SS and the Einsatzgruppen, the Wehrmacht, defending its country should be left out of this.

  4. What the Nazi's did was unforgiveable. They don't deserve to live. Such monsters should not belong to this world. :/ Great blog btw.

  6. Don't have an opinion or experience about Poland, but Germany is great a place. 'Tis a shame you're only going to the concentration camps, there is so much you could be doing in Germany.

  8. Nice trip! Poland is home to gorgeous women and good food. And they let you drink, you'll love Germany (even if you can't remember anything afterward).

  9. Spooky palces to be, but I found they were trading in the history of it for emotion. Still a worthwhile trip though.

  10. What the Nazis did was terrible. But as Bill righteous said above, not every German soldier was a Nazi. I'd wager some of them did not even know about the camps. What troubles me more is that the world seems to have learned nothing from the holocaust and still discriminate based on faith, skin, sexuality, ETC. Sorry for rambling! Enjoy your trip.

  12. Sounds like a boring ass trip to be honest. But I'm German, so I've always been bombarded with that stuff anyway. "You should feel bad for what your grandfathers did!"
